Fresh figs are in season so it’s time to take advantage of them! I love figs - I pair them with ham or bacon. If you haven't tried bacon-wrapped figs then you're missing out ;-)
I like sipping on refreshing smoothies, especially on the weekend when time is on my side. So today, I thought I’d use anything in season and figs came into mind.
Figs are naturally sweet and they provide nutritional and health benefits such as good source of anti-oxidant vitamins (A, E and K), minerals and soluble dietary fiber, helps reduce fatigue, prevent anemia and improve brain memory, figs have high concentration of fiber, which helps promote healthy, regular bowel movement and prevent constipation.
